The former England chief looks set for a return to management, and could well be approached by the London club's owner Roman Abramovich as he looks for AVB's permanent successor
Former England manager Fabio Capello is ready to return to management, and Chelsea could be his desired destination, according to The Mail on Sunday.
Capello resigned from the Three Lions job just under seven weeks ago and his enthusiasm to get back into the game could put Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich on alert.
Abramovich recently sacked Andre Villas-Boas after the inexperienced manager failed to live up to the Russian’s very high expectations. But Capello will be turning 66 soon and has the required experience to start rebuilding the squad at Stamford Bridge.
However, Capello’s name has also been linked with the managerial posts at Tottenham and Liverpool should they become available in the near future.
So if Chelsea’s owner misses out on the ex-Real Madrid chief he could turn his attention to France's current national team coach Laurent Blanc, whose reputation is growing by the season.
