The versatile attacker has admitted that it will not be easy for the Catalans to retain their league title, but stressed that they will not give up just yet
Barcelona attacker Pedro has insisted that the Catalans can still pip arch-rivals Real Madrid to the Primera Division title.
The Blaugranas are currently trailing the Santiago Bernabeu side by six points, and although he realises that it will not be easy, Pedro believes that Barca can successfully defend their league title.
"We know we can do it. Madrid have a good lead but we just have to take it game by game, playing as we are now, and hoping that they slip up, so we can reduce the difference," Pedro stated on a press conference.
"It’ll be difficult because they are playing at such a high level, but we are in our best moment of the season with the mentality to be able to do it. It will be difficult to successfully defend the title, but not impossible."
Barcelona are currently preparing for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final at home against AC Milan on Tuesday, before resuming La Liga action on April 8 against Zaragoza.
